![]() ![]() ![]() Gridlock can't do this, because that's not what you are supposed to do with her. To be specific, the big difference is that an Airjab is a powerful trap, but in the chaos created by gunfire, explosions and whatever it's rare to be able to spot a well placed airjab during a flank, with the result of it exploding and giving a warning to the attackers and possibly the death of the defender if an attacker was in LoS. I played a lot of Nomad when she came out and I did the same with Gridlock in the season after, and reached the end of Y4S2 I can say that while they play a similar role in a more practical way they are pretty different. So, let me give you some advice from a personal perspective, as there is already a good general analysis by another user who did a far better job than me at that. Overall, she isn't a bad pick in any situation and next time you don't know who to pick, you should give Gridlock a chance. The trax placement isn't something that has to be meticulously planned out either, it's almost a "set it and forget it" gadget. You can win rounds of secure area by simply placing trax and watching for runouts. She is essentially a support operator and should be treated as such. Given that Gridlock is 1 speed, room clearing is not the priority and you should not lead a charge. With just throwing down your trax at different points in the map and then holding an angle, you're doing quite a lot more than you think since your ability only requires you to throw the trax. She is a very easy to play operator which gives very little room to do something wrong. If a defender is blasted by one of Nomad's Air Jabs into the trax, they will only take 10 points of damage and destroy the rest they come in contact with.Trax don't deploy too well in tight spaces such as closets or hallways.Friendlies are not penalized for destroying your trax (noobs will shoot them).Any sort of damage will destroy the Trax (melee, impacts, or a single bullet). ![]()
